Star cast of Manjhi-The Mountain Man visits Miraj Cinemas
Miraj Cinemas hosted star cast visit of upcoming biopic film Manjhi-The Mountain Man. The lead star cast of the film Nawazudin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and director Ketan Mehta were present to interact with the press at Miraj Cinemas and provide insight about the film.
The actors were overwheled by the response of media and crowd that was present at the Mall. They had great time interacting with media and answering the queries. Nawazudin Siddiqui seemed much delighed to be playing role of such an inspiring personality he expressed during the interaction.
On this ocassion Mr Bhuvanesh Mendiratta, Vice President, Operations Miraj Cinemas said “It is pleasure to host Press meet of film Manjhi-The mOuntain man at one of our most loved property in Ahmedabad. Manjhi is biopic film based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, popularly known as the ‘Mountain Man’, who lived in Gehlaur village in Bihar, who carved a road through a mountain in 22 years. Nawazudin Siddiqui plays the role of Manji who was happy with his family and wife Phaguniya (Radhika Apte). In his village there was a mountain for which people have to travel a lot to another place. One day Manjhi’s wife fell from the mountain. After this Manjhi decide to make a road on the mountain. He did a lot of struggle. After 22 years Dashrath Manjhi carved a path 360-foot-long through-cut, 25-foot-deep in places and 30-foot-wide to form a road.
The film has already created a lot of buzz in media, politics and social forums. Director Ketan Mehta has decided to donate a share of film's profit to Manjhi's village, Gehlaur. The film has been declared tax free in Bihar, by government.
