The much awaited nomination list of a prestigious award show are out and it seems to have the whole industry in a tizzy. The list has conveniently left out certain names that have impressed all with their stellar story and performance. Masaan being one of the best movies to have been made till date has received no nomination in the best movie category. Does a nomination in the best debut category all that the film deserve? The list of bloopers continues when Richa Chadha who is listed amongst the finest actresses in Bollywood was conveniently left out of the list of nominations. Her performance in Masaan was exemplary as is seen by all.

This is not all! In fact another award show nominated Richa Chadha in the supporting actress category when she was clearly the main lead in the film.

Masaan was one of the best films in 2015 and was showcased at the Cannes film festival becoming the only Indian film to win 2 prestigious awards. From Rajeev Masand remarking this blatant mistake to Pooja Bhatt tweeting about this, the movie and the actor’s potential is known to all.

A fantastic movie like this with such excellent performances deserves to be recognized and credited.

This is not expected from award shows such as these considering they have been in the business since decades. It’s time they stepped up and looked into this!
