Designer Ridhi Arora to present her exclusive khadi line at Tamanna Fashion Show in Delhi

hot news

Designer Ridhi Arora has taken special initiative to promote the Textile/ Handloom Industry of India, with her exclusive collection designed and crafted in Khadi. The collection ANMOL - 'Precious wrapped in precious’  will be launched at Tamana Fashion Show in New Delhi on Saturday, 30th April 2016.

Tamana is a non-profit voluntary organization created to provide professional help to children with developmental and mental disabilities. Tamana has always been close to Ridhi's heart. An aspiration, a longing - Tamana, with this fashion show aims to put these children on the same platform as the "normal" people, giving them equal opportunity to grow, prosper, smile and laugh.

The collection is extremely modern and feminine, yet crafted in the Indian fabric, giving the garments an interesting twist. Use of pastel tones in solids, stripes checks, embellished so slightly with resham work creates a perfect summer wardrobe, which is Indian but in a very modern way.

As the tagline suggest "Precious wrapped in precious". Young children of Tamana School will be walking the ramp adorning a fabric which has taken sweat and toil of millions of handloom workers of our nation. The garment line of these children is simple, easy to wear yet very chic. Holding hands of these children are young girls of regular schools setting an example of how we accept the innocence of the gems of Tamana. Styled in modern cuts and drapes, these young girls would be giving us a glimpse of how a simple fabric like Khadi can be used in today's time.

Delhi based Ridhi Arora says, “The collection is exclusively for women who like to experiment with their look - a woman who is not confined to the trends but like to create her own niche and a very exclusive style statement”.
