For those who love that minimal look and those who adore colors. This season at India Runway week we saw the re-drawing of the bygone era. Those retro looks and pop colors, palazzos and ruffles, ribbons and rolled hair looks. As well as we saw the minimalism at its best .

Vyom by Ankita Bairathi- From elegant style to rich summer colors this was a mix of everyday must-haves and essential ones for important occasions.

 

Vinita and Chetan- Glamour takes the mercury a few notches higher when Actress Gauhar Khan walked for the duo Vinita & Chetan. Debuting with their interpretation of ‘Up sideDown’. The evening marked the Indian fashion industry with glitz and grandeur with models strutting down the runway donning the cutting edge collection.

 

RIDHANSH by Sonia Gaba presents their collection "Nazakat". The name itself explains "beauty is in the way you present it". Whatever you wear , becomes beautiful in the way you handle it. In this show designer Sonia Gaba will showcase her collection which has a mixture of whites, yellows and goldens, pairing it with some elegant jewellery.

 

Ankur j Launches his Amun-Ra (hidden light) collection which emphasizes on Egyptian colors and prints with contemporary mix…must watch in the collection was 5D Egyptian beetle’s state of the art prints and Egyptian gods while doing fine justice to the Indian art. With the collection, he raised the message of “Help Egypt Help an Heritage”. 

 

Pinessa by Neha and Shivangi presented its collection “SKINN”, a genre of women clothing that is artistically crafted, rooted in Indian sensibilities but affluent in its western outlook, one that combines grace with easy functionality and presents a universal appeal by fusion appareling. PINESSAA feels privileged in presenting styles that differentiate you from the crowd and giving a whole new dimension of dressing.

 

Sejal Jain’s collection ‘Defining Lines’ is a fusion of the traditional and the modern by taking inspiration from conventional techniques i.e. Dabu Print, tie-dye and hand embroidery and combining it with the modern silhouettes to give ita modern approach and to create a new age look. The collection comes with amessage of “promoting handcraftsmanship and craft preservation”.

 

Niyogini by Neha Choudhary-  The collection mainly draws inspiration from the idea of a woman being capable enough in this time to be strong and self-confident so much as to be labeled as a legend. Actress Poonam Dhillon walked the ramp for start-up designer Neha Choudhary at India Runway Week 2017 Spring summer. Poonam Dhillon looked evergreen and flawless while bringing the “Monochromatic Feminism” to a new level proving herself once again to be the undisputed queen of the era.

 

Bmt CoutureThis collection highlights the effortless flow with luxurious drapes & superior quality of the fabrics. The indo Western silhouette of the garments enhances & signifies the bond between the east and the west. The classic lehenga paired with a cape & the tulip pants with cold shoulder top are some anomalous examples of collection. Touched by a sumptuous dose of experimentation and chic, it majorly focuses on the overall comfort and wearibility.

 

S-laz by SupriyaShukla brings  Funky yet Elegant tone embodies the collection with simple yet beautiful shapes. Unique pieces exuding modernity and classic style surpasses the shades of skin color (referred as blank canvass) with multi-color embroideries and handwork in green, light blue, Orange, Fuschia and shades of Yellow. Feminine, uncomplicated forms perfectly highlight the combination of light and flowy fabrics such as- Georgette and Silk. Lot of Frills, layers, shirring, stonework perfectly compliments the simple silhouettes adding to their distinctive appeal of fun and festive collection.

 

“Tribe Vibe Collectives”  by Akassh K Aggarwal is an inspiration from the world of Bohemian Self Love, In a society that has seen women as the weaker and the second sex, here's a Bow Down to the ones who decided to live the way they wanted to, no matter how crazy or rebellious. Bollywood Glam Swara Bhaskar walked the ramp for Jewellery Designer Akassh K Aggarwal and Mugdha Godse was seen sitting in the first row.

 

Kristy De Cunhawho is widely known as a young emerging designer had showcased collection “GolGol Rani Freddie Mercury”. It’s a quirky twist on Freddie Mercury. The collection is curated with edgy prints with vibrant colors that are a trademark to Kristy D Cunha’s style of clothing catered to an intelligent audience. The collection catered to both men’s and women’s clothing.

 

Ken Ferns collection was inspired by paper craft and its geometric forms in the real world – Kern Ferns call it ‘Soda’, as it’s a perfect blend of real to diagrams.
