Bajirao Mastani duo Ranveer Kapoor and Deepika Padukone today launched the first song entitled “Gajanana” from their upcoming film Bajirao Mastani  on the occasion of Ganesh Utsav at an event in Pune. Howvwer, Priyanka Chopra missed the music launch event on the occasion. 

Both the actors had a gala time with each other during the event and talked about the film, their roles and about each other while interacting with the media. Ranveer and Deepika revealed how they use to celebrate Ganesh Visharjan in their own style. While Ranveer loves to dance in his unique ‘lukkha lafantar’ style, Deepika loves to watch people who don’t know to dance but try to copy others’ steps.

Talking about her role in the film Deepika said her role of Mastani in the film is very inspiring. I wish she was alive for me to interact with her. Later she described Mastani as a true example of strength, lover, nurturer and a true warrior.

All women have these qualities but in some things are more pronounced, she added.

Deepika also said Bajrao as toughest film of her career.

“This is the toughest film of my career. Won't talk about efforts because what matters at the end is performance. I remember saying emotionally draining and exhausting for Ram Leela. . That time it felt like that but now in front of Bajirao, Ram Leela sounds easy’” she said.

 Ranveer too shared his experience on playing the iconic role of Bajirao and said, Centre of Bajirao's life is Poona. He was a great man and it’s a great honour for me to portray his role.

 I have done my best to justify playing a person of this stature and achievement. He was true Maratha legend and it was an intense experience for me playing his role, he added.

Ranveer also said he has put his best efforts to isolate himself for the role with his hard core preparation to transform himself into that time.

Moreover, both the actors, who are touted as the hottest couple of The B-Town at present, could not resist praising each other.

Talking about Deepika, Ranveer said “She's so beautiful that I'd wait all my life for her”

Praising Ranveer, Deepika said, ‘As a person Ranveer has the same energy, enthusiasm and warmth as an actor. He has grown as an actor post Ram Leela and is amongst the most versatile actors today.’

On being asked about the the clash of the release date of the film with Rohit Shetty’s Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale, Deepika said, It does not look as complicated as it sound. Their film is very different. And we don't have time to worry on who is doing what because we have our own deadlines.

Bajirao Mastani is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. The film will release this year in December.
